Here's the funny thing, all this time I have proclaimed that I am of the old school anime. Yet I never thought to search for any here. I. E., Astro boy. Does anyone else remember the original anime? Does anyone else believe that even though he was a robot that he was indeed the first homosexual super hero?

Osamu Tezuka, "Astroboy"'s creator, has a heart of gold.-- A heart for everyone. He has such a soft heart that it translates into his characters and by fault of social stereotypes..translates to femininity and affinity for other boys. I don't believe it's homosexuality. I just believe that what I saw in the Studio Ghibli documentaries and his autobiography was a love of deep friendships and people, deeper than any westerner can understand. "Astro" isn't homophillic, just friendly IMHO.

err. Sorry. Studio Ghibli documentary was Miyazaki Hayao.
