Question: If your Pallet rival's Blue, then why does he wear purple?

Blue has an arrogant personality in R/G/B/FR/LG so they gave him purple to match. His Gym in HG/SS is colored blue/green to match his name and his outfit is a neutral color.

The rival's Japanese name is Green, and purple is a mix of red and blue.
