Added "borrowed_character" and "original" tags because this (INCOMING WALL OF TEXT): Brolli was originally the main OC of a western Touhou fan named "ColonelDiamondback". ColonelDiamondback is part of a group of primarily western Touhou fans that use a program kirbyM developed called "Walfas" to create comics and videos, which are usually Touhou fan works. A thing to know about western Touhou fans is that a lot of them have been known to make fanfics involving Yukari bringing an idealized version of the author into Gensokyo with the promise of power. This hasn't happened often in the Walfas community until ColonelDiamondback came on the scene, and Brolli was the idealized author avatar brought to Gensokyo, or "Gappy Stu", as it is called (to be fair, he didn't idealize Brolli as much as other authors did their AAs). A famous member of the Walfas community, hereafter known as "Spaztique", decided to use Brolli as a vehicle to ask a question to authors of Gappy Stu fics: How do you think this will work in the canon Gensokyo? Is this really what you want? And, so, he wrote Diamond in the Rough, which went total Deconstructor Fleet on this archetypal plot. DitR included scenes in which the consequences of Brolli's actions are brought to light, which I will not discuss because spoilers. This piece of fanart is a tribute to DitR, a tribute to Spaztique, and a tribute to ColonelDiamondback. Again, I'm sorry for the massive wall of text just to explain one change.
