Well from the back both Ethan/Gold look similar so maybe the artist wanted to make it a ~mystery~ as to which one it is.

...and really, unlike Kanto, Johto only has three starters. 8D

Let's see: There's Red, Green, and Remake Red for Kanto. Ethan, Lyra, and Kris for Johto. Brendan and May for Hoenn. Lucas and Dawn for Sinnoh. Hilbert and Hilda for Unova. Only the player characters are shown. After all, Blue's a Champion and Gym Leader(they're kinda boring), Silver's Giovanni's son, Wally only gets a Ralts, Barry has patience problems(and a dad), Cheren is on his computer, Bianca is Barry mark 2, and boo, N's part of Team Plasma. All far to busy to be "main" characters.

In my opinion, the only decent Gym Leaders are Kanto's because all of them develop more compared to Johto's onwards. They're just a series of faces that vary in character development, but there's always that coolness about the Champions that puts them up there with the main characters. Blue actually BECOMES a Champion, Lance has AWESOME music with AWESOME throwbacks, a theme he shares with Red, Steven was awesome until he got replaced with Wallace(IS he creepy?), Cynthia was hard, and Alder's music is unique.

The Black/White leaders got a lot more development than previous generations, which is nice. Except for Brycen. He was just kinda there.

Anyway, anybody know what the heck that think sticking into the picture on the far right is? It looks like the tip of somebody's hair or something.
