Everything Pokemon has is covered in Digimon. Eggs, mysterious characters like N, Distortion World, computer storage, transportation methods, you name it.

Digimon is clearly better for Anime. Pokemon is all "Hey kids, watch Ash become a 'master'!" and Digimon is all "Wait a sec, watch an epic story instead!"

Pokemon had potential but every episode is a cardboard cutout. Plus pikachu resets to level zero and ash is dumb again every season. Which is why he never won a pokemon league nor became a master. Disappoint.

Digimon.. actually goes somewhere. Despite it, too, being predictable and tedious at times, it does it better and you like the creatures even more, and the characters have relatable flaws other than losing and rivalry. Pokemon needs to get its shag together. This isn't DC where every new issue is another origin story.
